Chef Luce was honored to participate in a charity dinner to benefit childhood hunger on Monday night. The dinner was hosted by Gracie's Restaurant in Providence, Rhode Island and Sponsored by Share Our Strength and Johnson and Wales University. The list of talented participating chefs included Matt Gennuso, Evan Mallett, Matthew Varga & Melissa Denmark. Chef Luce's dish, pictured here, was a tasting of bay scallops. Clockwise from bottom left- 1) Kombu cured scallop crudo with sea urchin, grapefruit & soy-chili meringue. 2) Brown butter, scallop & matsutake chawan mushi with chestnut cracklings . 3) Autumn pickles and sea lettuce. 4) scallop & duck bacon skewers, honey-miso teriyaki & shishito tempura. Close to $20,000 dollars was raised for Share Our Strength-an organization for which Chef Luce has volunteered since his days at The Clinton White House.

Chargers-Colts, probably not a priority for anyone on the East End. But here is something that is: Buck duck wings and 1/2 price pizzas from PREP at the bar. The game will be on if you're so inclined!
